Clean Eating, Natural Foods, and Label Lingo

Tuesday, November 9th (5:15 – 6:15 PM)

In a recent national survey nearly two-thirds of adults said ingredients have at least a moderate influence on what they buy. Interest in “clean-eating” has skyrocketed over the past few years as consumers navigate how nourish themselves and their families. But what does “clean-eating” actually mean? Deciphering food labels and being bombarded with marketing gimmicks can make a trip to the grocery store such a headache! During this interactive presentation, the audience will learn all about food labels, ingredients, and marketing. If you have asked yourself, “are foods packaged as “natural” better for me?”, “How do preservatives in foods affect my health?” or, “what are GMOs and how do they affect my health?”, then you don’t want to miss this free and informative talk! Dinner will be served!
