MBSR - Mindfulness Based Stress Management

Worrying about the future? Stressed out? Difficulty being fully present? Curious about mindfulness? Overwhelmed with a busy schedule or just life in general?

Join us for Mindfulness Based Stress Management (MBSR) class, and learn how to feel more centered, let go of stress, and calm your body and your mind. Utilizing important tools developed by MBSR reowned author and scientist, Jon Kabat-Zinn, you will learn and practice deep breathing, relaxation and mindfulness practices. Dr. Kabat-Zinn's research at the University of Massachusetts has helped thousands of people overcome the negative effects of stress, pain and illness by becoming more mindful of the here and now, learning to relax, and practice gentle stretching and yoga.

Rhonda Lesley recently retired as the Director of Counseling at Missouri State University and worked as a Licensed Professional Counselor for over 30 years. She has been practicing and studying Yoga and meditation for over 35 years, and in addition has been teaching yoga and mindfulness for over 15 years. She is trained in Mindfulness Based Stress Management instruction and enjoys helping people find "center" and experience the many benefits of mindfulness and presence.
