Summer 2022

The Young Artists Keyboard Academy (YAKA) at Missouri State University offers a well-rounded curriculum that includes masterclasses, individual lessons, musicianship training, improvisation, special topics, and a final concert. Students are taught by Missouri State University’s internationally-acclaimed keyboard faculty.

Pre-college students ages 12-18 with at least three years of lessons.

Application Process

Before completing the online application, prepare a brief (no longer than five minutes) audition video and publish as unlisted on your YouTube or Vimeo channel. Simply include that audition video link in the application form when prompted.

Due to low enrollment, we have decided to cancel YAKA for 2021.

We will plan to return in 2022 with an in-person event. We apologize for any inconvenience, but look forward to next summer when we can gather and make music together again.

$200, which includes a $25 non-refundable application fee.

Applicants that are not accepted to YAKA for any reason or are withdrawn before June 30 will have all fees refunded except for the $25 application fee.
