Attend an optional on-campus orientation for transfer students starting classes on January 12, 2026.
This orientation is not a class registration event. You will need to be registered for classes prior to the start of the Spring semester and have completed the required online orientation for transfer students.

Welcome to Missouri State!
This orientation is designed to help transfer students connect with campus resources, meet fellow transfer Bears, and get ready for a successful transition to life at Mo State.
Schedule of Events
11:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. | Check-in, Lunch, Engagement Expo
Kick off the day with lunch in the dining hall and the Engagement Expo, where you'll
meet representatives from key offices and student organizations. Explore resources
that will help you make the most of your Mo State experience.
1:00 p.m. | University Welcome
Hear from university leaders as they officially welcome you to the Bear family.
1:30 – 2:25 p.m. | Breakout Sessions
Choose from several informative sessions covering topics like:
- Career Center resources
- Student involvement and leadership through the Office of Student Engagement
- Brightspace tips and technology support
- Public Affairs mission and engagement opportunities
- Residence Life & Dining
- Counseling Center Services
2:30 p.m. | Intro to Your Academic College
Connect with faculty and staff from your academic college to learn more about your
major, advising, and success resources.
3:30 p.m. | Business as a Bear
Complete any remaining business before classes begin.
4:00 p.m. | Transfer Student Social
Meet other transfer students in a relaxed, fun setting. Enjoy light refreshments and
start building your Bear community!
