  • VSP is paperless β€” no insurance cards required.
  • Simply schedule an appointment with a VSP provider, and they’ll handle the rest.

πŸ“ Enrolling & Making Changes

  • New Employees: Enroll and select dependent coverage within 31 days of your start date.
  • Changes: Allowed during:
    • Annual Open Enrollment
    • Within 31 days of a qualifying life event (marriage, divorce, birth, change in coverage, etc.) with documentation.
  • Most changes take effect the first of the month after documentation is received (except births, which are effective on the date of birth).

  • In-Network Providers: No ID card needed β€” providers access coverage directly through VSP and file claims for you.
  • Out-of-Network Providers: You must file a claim yourself.
