Legacies and Letters of Recommendation

Letters of recommendation are not required for women seeking membership in a Panhellenic sorority. If you know an alumna member of one of our Panhellenic sororities, you can ask her to submit a recommendation on your behalf. Recommendations should contain valuable information about what you can contribute to the chapter and should be written by members you know personally.

Each organization defines legacies in their own way. Below you can find the legacy policies and information on submitting letters of recommendation for each Panhellenic sorority at Missouri State. If you are a legacy, it is important to include that information in your recruitment registration. While special consideration may be given to women with legacy status or letters of recommendation, it does not guarantee an invitation to membership in any organization.

Please submit all letters of recommendation to the inter/national headquarters by Friday, July 31, 2020.
