The Department of Music invites you to join us for a performance featuring Missouri State's Grand Chorus and Missouri State's Symphony Orchestra.
The Missouri State University President’s Concert celebrates its 29th year with excerpts from Puccini's opera "Turandot" with soloists Kara McBain, Jennifer Forni, Peter Drackley and Todd Payne.
The concert begins at 3:30 p.m. March 29 at the Juanita K. Hammons Hall for the Performing Arts.
The university’s Grand Chorus and Symphony Orchestra will perform under the direction of Dr. Yi-Ping Chen, associate proofessor and orchestra director.
The Grand Chorus, which has over 200 student participants, is prepared by Dr. Cameron LaBarr, Clif and Gail Smart Professor of Music and director of choral studies; and Dr. Erin Plisco, associate professor and associate director of choral studies.
The orchestra, prepared by Director Chen, has roughly 60 students.
