For Guests

Earlier this year, Missouri State rescheduled spring 2020 commencement ceremonies for Oct. 18 and Dec. 11 at JQH Arena. It's time to plan for those events and we are asking our graduates for your RSVP.

A survey has been distributed to all May and Summer 2020 graduates, where your response will confirm your intent to attend or not attend the upcoming ceremonies. We want to celebrate you in a safe manner, consistent with COVID-19 guidelines.

This information will also help us plan for graduates who are unable to attend. The University will be mailing diploma covers and honor cords and will send those items after the December ceremony to those graduates unable to attend either ceremony.

Celebrate with us

Join us in a virtual celebration for the Class of 2020 with frames, GIFs, stickers and video. We can't wait to be together for our official in-person formal ceremony.

Celebrating the achievements of your Bear grad

We are excited to have you on campus for commencement! Thank you for helping celebrate our graduates and for all the support you have given them along the way.

Special, non-reserved seating areas are available for guests with permanent or temporary disabilities. No stairways are encountered. Guests in wheelchairs as well as those who are unable to climb stairs are permitted in these areas.

Due to space limitations, we ask that only one other family member be seated with the guest in the special areas. To seek assistance in locating this seating, you may see one of the ushers located at the entrances the day of the ceremony.

Special accommodations

The university must have at least one week’s notice of any disability accommodation (other than seating) in order to serve the needs identified. Submit your request to commencement chair Terry Weber.
