Show-Me Missouri State Scholarship

Visit campus. Earn up to $1,000. It's that easy.

Are you from outside Missouri? You may be eligible. Take an official campus tour before December 1 of your senior year, and turn your visit into a tuition award.

This scholarship is open only to out-of-state (non-Missouri resident) students.

Award requirements

How to qualify

Visit campus. Register for a daily tour or attend an admissions visit event (like Showcase or Summer Visit Day).
Submit your FAFSA by February 1 of your senior year.
Enroll during SOAR in the summer. Register for full-time hours to qualify. Full-time enrollment is equivalent to 12 or more credit hours per semester.

Your scholarship will automatically pay toward your tuition and fees when you attend in the fall and spring. General scholarship policies apply to recipients.

Frequently asked questions

Ready to turn your visit into a scholarship? Here's how.

1. Out-of-state (non-Missouri resident) students admitted for Fall 2026 who complete an official Admissions campus tour before December 1, 2025.
2. Students who will be first-time freshmen in Fall 2026. This scholarship does not apply to transfer students.
Submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) by the published University priority deadline (February 1).
Only official Office of Admissions visits, including daily campus visits and Admissions special visit events like Fall Showcase, Spring Showcase or Summer Visit Day.

Self-guided, self-reported, or group tours don’t qualify.
A one-time $1,000 award applied to your first-year costs upon enrollment.
Student-athletes may qualify if NCAA rules allow.
You're covered if your official tour took place before the scholarship launch.
