The Mo State Opportunity Award promises that costs won't prevent Missouri students from completing a degree.
Mo State Opportunity Award
Zero out of pocket for tuition and fees
Eligible students will pay no tuition and fees after federal, state and institutional grants and scholarships are first applied.
How to qualify
Complete the FAFSA.
December 1 is the priority consideration deadline and guarantees funding for students
who qualify. FAFSAs submitted by February 1 and after will still be considered and
may receive the award if funding remains available.
Also, students must:
- Be an incoming freshman or new transfer student.
- Be a Missouri resident.
- Be a U.S. citizen or eligible non-citizen.
- Have a household income of $65,000 or less, as reported on the FAFSA.
- Be seeking an undergraduate degree.
- Be enrolled full-time (at least 12 credit hours).
If Pell, Access Missouri or other traditional institutional scholarships cover all tuition and fees, students will not revieve the Mo State Opportunity Award. Any FAFSA revisions or reviews must be completed no later than July 31 to qualify. This includes requests for professional judgement as well as eligibility reviews (verification, citizenship review, etc.).
