Presidential Scholarship Application

Eligibility criteria

Students must have a 31 ACT or 1390 SAT and at least a 3.90 cumulative GPA based on grades through the end of their junior year (sixth semester). Students may continue taking the ACT or SAT to improve their scores, as long as the test is taken by October of their senior year. When determining eligibility, we’ll use the highest score, whether it's the composite or the superscore.

Students must also be admitted to Missouri State University to be eligible to receive the Presidential Scholarship.

Application process

The scholarship application consists of three parts:

  1. Address, contact and academic information (test scores, GPA, etc.).
  2. A list of organizations and activities participated in, and awards and honors received.
  3. An essay describing interests, academic goals and career plans.

Based on submitted applications, finalists will be selected to attend on-campus interviews.

How to apply

Be sure to submit a sixth semester transcript showing your cumulative GPA and ACT or SAT score(s) to the Office of Admissions by the December 1 deadline. Scholarship applicants also need to complete a 2026-27 FAFSA and send the results to Missouri State.
