Veterans injured since September 11, 2001, who want to continue their education at Missouri State University may have additional assistance, thanks to a new scholarship fund endowed by John and Fredna Mahaffey. If selected for the John and Fredna Mahaffey Operation Promise Scholarship Program, the recipient will receive up to $3,000 per year. In order to be considered for this scholarship, a veteran must have been physically injured in combat since September 11, 2001.
Additionally, veterans should be enrolled and be in good standing, or qualify for admission to the university. Those interested should apply through the Office of Student Financial Aid at Missouri State.
