Program Requirements

In the marketing program, you will complete comprehensive marketing curriculum with an emphasis in one of the following tracks: advertising and promotion, marketing management, marketing research or sales management.


Marketing (Comprehensive)

Bachelor of Science

Major requirements (30 hours):

All students majoring in business must also satisfy all College of Business Core requirements.  Hours required in the college core range from 36 to 51 depending on major.

Major core (15 hours):
  1. MKT 351(3), 360(3); 464(3) or 474(3); 472(3); QBA 337(3).
Complete one of the following options:
Advertising and Promotion option (15 hours):
  1. MKT 354(3); 380(3) or 515(3); 456(3), 510(3).
  2. One course from: MKT 380(3) or 515(3) if not taken to fulfill requirement number 1; MKT 480(3), 485(3); ART 100(3).
Marketing Management option (15 hours):
  1. MKT 354(3), 365(3), 410(3).
  2. Two courses from: MKT 352(3), 355(3), 452(3), 485(3), 510(3), 515(3); MGT 397(3).
Marketing Research option (15 hours):
  1. MKT 368(3), 570(3).
  2. Three courses from: MKT 410(3), MKT 510(3), ITC 535(3), ITC 555(3), MGT 397(3), TCM 337(3), TCM 359(3).
Professional Sales option (15 hours):
  1. MKT 352(3), 451(3), 452(3).
  2. Two courses from: MKT 355(3), 365(3), 410(3), 485(3)
