Working with Accommodated Testing

Completing a Testing Agreement

From Faculty Notification Email

  1. Choose the link in the red box “Immediate Action Required – Alternative Testing Agreement” at the top of the Faculty Notification email.
  2. Read the “Course Information” section.
  3. Answer the 6 questions about how the Testing Center should proctor your exam.
  4. Provide a phone number you can be reached at.
  5. Choose the “Submit and Continue to Specify Exam Dates” button.
  6. Enter exam dates.
    1. Exam Detail
      1. Select Type (exam, final, midterm, or quiz)
      2. Select Date (if the exam is open for a window of time, select first date of the window)
      3. Select the time the exam will be administered to the class
      4. Specify the Standard Length of Exam for the rest of the class (this amount will be used to determine the student’s extended time if eligible)
      5. Add any additional notes
    2. Exam Date Instructions
      1. Select either Single Day/Time or Window of Time for the exam to be given (please specify exam opening and closing dates and times in the Additional Comments section if open for a window of time.
      2. Answer the next two questions
      3. If the exam is computer-based, please specify a password; otherwise, enter N/A
    3. Upload Exam File
      1. If you have the exam file ready, you can upload it now, or you can do this at a later time.

From Instructor Access Portal

  • Go to the DRC website - www.MissouriState.edu/Disability
  • Choose the link “Instructor Access Login,” on the right side at the top of the page.
  • Read the Access Policy and click the “Continue to View Student Accommodations” button.
  • Choose the link “Alternative Testing” on the left side of the page.
  • Choose “Accommodated Testing Agreement” on the top right of the page.
  • Find the class section in the list of courses.
  • There are three things you can do from this point:
    1. Specify Accommodated Testing Agreement – enter a new Testing Agreement
      1. Choose the link “Specify Accommodated Testing Agreement.”
      2. Read the “Course Information” section.
      3. Answer the 6 questions about how the Testing Center should proctor your exam.
      4. Provide a phone number you can be reached at.
      5. Choose the “Submit and Continue to Specify Exam Dates” button.

    2. View/Modify Accommodated Testing Agreement – Change an existing Testing Agreement or Add Exam Dates
      1. Choose the link “View/Modify Accommodated Testing Agreement.”
      2. Change any information in the testing agreement that applies to all students taking accommodated exams
      3. Add Exam Dates
        1. Choose the link “List Exam Dates” at the top of the page
        2. Enter exam dates.
          1. Exam Detail

    3. Copy Accommodated Testing Agreement – Copy an existing Testing Agreement to another class section
      1. Choose the link “View/Modify Accommodated Testing Agreement” of the section that you would like to copy from.
      2. Choose the link “Copy Accommodated Testing Agreement” at the top of the page.
      3. Select the course section that you would like to copy the testing agreement to from the drop-down menu.
      4. Choose the “Continue” button.
      5. If you have entered test dates in the original testing agreement, adjust the dates and times appropriately for new course section’s exams.
      6. Choose the “Copy accommodated Testing Agreement” button.

Changing Exam Dates and Uploading/Deleting Exam Files

From Instructor Access Portal

  1. Go to the DRC website - https://www.MissouriState.edu/Disability
  2. Choose the link “Instructor Access Login,” on the right side at the top of the page.
  3. Read the Access Policy and click the “Continue to View Student Accommodations” button.
  4. Choose the link “Alternative Testing” on the left side of the page.
  5. Choose “Accommodated Testing Agreement” on the top right of the page.
  6. Find the class section in the list of courses.
  7. Choose the link “View/Modify Accommodated Testing Agreement.”
  8. Change any information in the testing agreement that applies to all students taking accommodated exams
  9. Change an Exam Date
    1. Choose the link “List Exam Dates” at the top of the page.
    2. Select modify next to the exam date that you would like to change in the list of exam dates that have been entered.
    3. Correct the information for the exam that has been entered previously following instructions from the “View/Modify Accommodated Testing Agreement” section above.
  10. Upload/Delete Exam Files
    1. Choose the link “List Exam Dates” at the top of the page.
    2. Upload
      1. In the "Upload Exam File" box, enter a “File Title” for the exam file as you want it to appear for Testing Center staff.
      2. Drag and drop your exam file into the “Select File” box, or click the “Choose File” button to find it on your computer.
      3. Choose the “Update Exam Date” button at the bottom of the page.
      4. If you have multiple files for the exam (e.g. Exam, answer sheet, formula sheet, etc.) each file must be uploaded separately.
    3. Delete
      1. Choose the “Delete” link next to the exam file you would like to delete.
