Congratulations — you’ve earned admission to Missouri State University! Now you have
a short but important checklist of things to do before your first day of classes.
Accept our offer of admission by logging into the application status page of your online application and responding to the "Reply to Offer of Admission" form.
All first-time freshmen admitted for the fall semester are required to complete this
form by paying or possibly deferring a $150 enrollment deposit.
The $150 enrollment deposit acts as your official acceptance of MSU’s offer of admission,
confirms your intent to enroll, and reserves your spot at SOAR (Student Orientation, Advisement and Registration). The enrollment deposit is fully refundable on or before May 1. Learn more about
the enrollment deposit, including who is required to pay, deferring the deposit, and requesting a refund.
You will need your BearPass Number and activation code, which are listed in your admission letter sent to you through postal mail.
With your BearPass Number and activation code, visit My Missouri State and choose the “Activate Your Account” option to create a BearPass Login. This process will also create your university email account, which will serve as
your official email address for conducting university business.
Fill out the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) beginning Oct. 1. The earlier you fill it out, the more you increase your chances
for the maximum amount of financial aid. MSU’s priority deadline for you to complete the FAFSA is Feb. 1. Our FAFSA code
is 002503.
Our total costs are lower than many other universities. With our Net Price Calculator, you can determine the amount of aid you may expect.
SOAR (Student Orientation, Advisement and Registration) registration opens February
1 for students admitted for the summer and fall semesters, and November 1 for students
admitted for the spring semester. Learn more about SOAR.
Donor funded scholarships are privately donated funds given to Missouri State students
each year. The funds come from private gifts to the University made by individuals,
groups or companies. They are awarded to students based on a wide range of criteria:
major, high school attended, outstanding academic achievement, leadership and/or financial
need. Learn more and access step-by-step instructions to apply for donor funded scholarships.
If you earned college credit prior to high school graduation, send all official college transcripts to the office of admissions.
