Our office maintains a Work Study Contract for any department that wishes to hire a student under the Federal Work Study program. There are two separate contracts, one for fall/spring and one specifically for the summer semester. We will send a reminder prior to the fall semester for the academic term work study contract, and it will expire on graduation in the spring. If you wish to keep a student on work study over the summer, you will need to file the summer term contract, which we will send prior to the start of the summer semester.
If the department wishes to hire the student at any point throughout the year, and has not submitted the contract, you must due so before they can be hired. After the work study contract has been submitted, fill out an online Work Study Clearance Form.
Please instruct the students to complete the required new hire paperwork.
Once all documents are returned to the hiring department, the student will need to be E-Verified.
