HiSET
The HiSET exam is the new alternative to the GED test. Candidates receive the same state-issued high school equivalency credential. The HiSET is available in both English and Spanish and accommodations are available for test takers with disabilities or health-related needs.
HiSET exams are administered primarily on Fridays, Saturdays, and some Sundays. Testing hours typically are 9 AM - 4 PM on Fridays, 9 AM - 6 PM on Saturdays, and 1 PM to 6 PM on any Sunday administrations. Exam scheduling is conducted ENTIRELY through the HiSET website. Please see the HiSET website for available dates; this schedule is subject to change so please verify the date you want is still available before registering for an exam. The time of a specific exam is selected at registration. ADVANCE REGISTRATION THROUGH HiSET IS REQUIRED.
Registration for the HiSET
Registration and payment for the HiSET is conducted entirely through the HiSET website.
Test Results
Unofficial scores are displayed immediately after completion of a computer-based test for all multiple-choice sections. Scores are available through a student's HiSET account. NOTE: the Testing Center staff at no time has access to a student's HiSET scores.
