From the Class Schedule Search, search for the course and click on the title of the course, click the "Course Section
Comments" tab from the course details pop-up and read these to see if the class requires
permission and whom to contact.

You will be able to check on the status of your request by selecting the Registration Status link in your My Missouri State. This screen will list all overrides that have been
granted for you. Although requests may be processed daily, please allow at least five
business days for your request to be processed.
If your permission request is approved and your earliest registration date/time has
arrived, you may then register for the class using the "Add, Drop or Search for Classes" link in the My Missouri State.
If you have obtained a closed-level override for a class that is full, you will have
to directly enter the CRN of the section on the Enter CRNs tab of the "Add or Drop Classes" page and click Add to Summary. The class will always appear closed on the class schedule search, with the add button
unavailable, even if you have an override to enroll.
if you are in an accelerated master's program and wish to enroll in a course (600
or 700 level) for Mixed Credit or Senior Permission, we suggest that you do the following:
Obtain a Mixed Credit form from your graduate advisor, the department head of your
major, or the Graduate College Office and get all of the appropriate signatures.

for your overload status, you will then be able to register on the web for overload credit hours.
The registration system is programmed to detect which lab/lecture sections are supposed
to be scheduled together. Therefore, if you try to register for the wrong combination
of sections or try to register for a lab only or a lecture only, you will be blocked.
You will be required to register in the correct lab/lecture combination as noted in

If you are attempting an initial registration (you have not yet registered for any
classes) you will need to resolve the hold and have it removed before you can register.
If you have already registered for classes, but wish to add another class, you can
email Registrar@MissouriState.edu with your request to add your course. If you wish to drop a class, but have a hold
on your account, you can use the "Drop Classes with a Hold" link in My Missouri State.
You may withdraw from one or more of your classes online through the "Add or Drop Classes" link in My Missouri State.
If you have a registration hold, you can drop classes by accessing the "Drop Classes with a Hold" link in My Missouri State.
NOTE: Non-attendance will NOT result in being dropped from a class. If you stop attending
or never attend a class, but do not follow proper procedure for dropping the class,
you will receive a failing grade and will also be financially obligated to pay for
the class. W grades will NOT be assigned if a class is not properly dropped by the
last date to drop a class
When adding a class after the first week, departmental approval will be required.
You must contact the offering department and get approval using the Registration/Change
of Schedule Form. Approval can be via email from the department or via signed and
stamped form. The completed form or email must be submitted to the Office of the Registrar
If you need to make a section change, you can do so online through the "Add or Drop Classes" link in My Missouri State. If you have a hold added on your record after registering,
you can email the Office of the Registrar at Registrar@MissouriState.edu. Late registration procedures apply if it is after the Change of Schedule Period.

Exceptions : Due to advising constraints and to ensure compliance with university
policies, intercollegiate athletes and precollege (high school dual enrollment) students
will not be able to use Web Registration. Entering first-time freshmen will be able
to use web registration ONLY with their advisor at their SOAR session on campus.
Some departments offer waitlisting on their courses. If a department offers waitlisting,
you will see this noted on the class schedule, and when you attempt to add a course
that is full, you will receive a prompt letting you know that the course is full,
but you can add yourself to the waitlist if you wish to do so.
