Production labs
Advanced production labs are available in Strong (STRO) and Craig (CRAG) halls.
Strong Hall

This building has everything you need to make a polished film or shoot an award-winning news story.
Gear includes:
- Digital Cine cameras with Prime lenses.
- Professional television broadcast cameras.
- A full selection of LED production lights.
- Top-of-the-line audio production microphones.
- Digital audio field recorders.
- Dollys, Steadicams and a wide range of grip gear.

The Standard
Strong Hall is also home to Missouri State University’s award-winning student newspaper, The Standard.
The Standard celebrated 100 years of excellence in 2012 and wins awards each year.
If you’re a journalism major, you can great work experience by working at The Standard.
The Standard publishes special editions each semester and has a digital-first presence.
Craig Hall
Home to our main offices and post-production labs.
Communications students also use labs to learn about design, social media and media monitoring.
Resources include:
- CRAG-0318 has an 18-seat, software instructional lab.
- CRAG-0317B is a state-of-the-art, post-production room.
- CRAG-0319 has an 8-seat "Mini Cine" that hosts weekly film showings during the fall and spring.

About Craig Hall
Built in 1967, Craig Hall is named after Dr. Virginia Craig. For more than 40 years, Craig was the head of the speech and English department and she also began the first debate program at the university in 1906.
