Join A Trip

Every person who goes on a Bear Breaks immersion trip is a Missouri State student, faculty, or staff member. Typically, 7 participants with 2 student trip leaders, and a Faculty/Staff Advisor. 

Participants will engage in direct service, learn about different cultures, and discuss social issues and active citizenship. Upon their return from the trip, groups will look to address issues in their own communities.

Nashville, TN The Nashville Bear Breaks Immersion Trip will take place March 16–20 and is a service-focused experience through Missouri State University’s Center for Community Engagement. This trip centers on addressing food insecurity in the Nashville area through hands-on service with local organizations. Participants will engage in activities such as packing and redistributing food, along with additional service projects that support community access to essential resources. Students will also participate in guided reflection to deepen their understanding of hunger, social responsibility, and community impact. $500
