A Letter from Mr. Church

I hope you were able to enjoy some well-earned downtime during this past summer. Missing my students at the end of the last school year, along with my indoor and outdoor opportunities in the spring and summer, has been a huge adjustment. I’ve not been home all summer for a great many years but it has been most enjoyable.

First, and foremost, none of us can predict where “things” are going. I have been very blessed through the years, to work with incredible teachers, students, clinicians, and adjudicators in the band and drum corps activity. My time in Willard, Missouri and Springdale, Arkansas, has been a total joy and I have a newfound sense of excitement working with Dr. Brad Snow, his staff, and the members of the Missouri State University Pride Band this fall.

As you are making your fall plans, which probably contain a Plan A, Plan B, Plan C, etc., I want to offer my services to you in whatever fashion you might desire. Everyone can always use an extra set of eyes and ears. Whether that is to help adjust your regular rehearsal schedule, teaching methods, musical help with sectionals, full band rehearsals, marching fundamental basic blocks, teaching drill, writing drill, press box or field input, Concert Band related rehearsals, and the list will go on as we move into our fall and spring plans. I am available to help for an hour or two, a full day, or longer, please let me know. We can communicate via email, text, zoom, face-to-face, or in whatever method is appropriate and best for you. At this time, I also understand, that some school districts are not allowing outside visitors to enter school buildings. Only time will tell concerning the fall, but I am remaining positive through it all.
