Fall 2026 Drum Line & Front Ensemble Audition Information
2026 Drum Line & Front Ensemble Camps
(Attendance at all camps is mandatory. Exceptions would be for those marching drum corps, or school-related conflicts at the May camp. All absences must be approved prior to camp.)
Summer Weekend Camps
NOTE: Over all 3 weekend camps members may be moved around to different instruments and final placement might not occur until July. Please understand that it is incredibly important that we place everyone where they will succeed best for the entire season.
Saturday, May 9 (Battery Only)
- May camp will be about meeting the staff and student leaders for percussion as well as learning the standards and technique we utilize in the MSU Pride Marching Band!
- While this camp is about learning the ways of our percussion section, having the ability to play the audition material for this camp is heavily encouraged. This will increase your odds of making the instrument you would like to play and this will mean we can begin rehearsing which means better success overall!
RSVP for the May 9 camp (new members & returning members should complete this form.
June Camp - Saturday, June 6 - Sunday, June 7 (Battery & Front Ensemble)
- June camp will be a continuation of what was worked on in May. At this point warmups should be fully learned and ideally memorized.
- We will also hand out new music at this camp whether it be a cadence, stand tunes or show music.
July Camp - Saturday, July 25 - Sunday, July 26 (Battery & Front Ensemble)
- July camp is for rehearsing and cleaning all music handed out in the prior 2 camps.
- More music will also be handed out at this camp.
Sunday, August 9 - Sunday, August 16 - MSU Pride Marching Band Camp
- This camp will be held the week prior to the first day of classes in August. It encompasses everything from moving to campus, to our first performances the weekend before classes start.
