Doctor of Nursing Practice

Online doctor of nursing practice receives top three ranking

Grad School Hub recognized Missouri State's online doctor of nursing practice, also known as DNP, as the third-best DNP program in the United States.

Missouri State stood out because of a previous ranking with U.S. News as number 106 among best universities in the Midwest. MSU’s low tuition also encouraged the ranking.

How the ranking is determined

Grad School Hub looked at accreditation, concentration areas and tuition. The criteria for this ranking includes:

  • National and regional accreditation
  • Favor to schools with two or more concentrations or specializations
  • Favor to schools with low tuition

A point system determined the rankings. For each category, if a university matched a certain level of criteria, a corresponding number of points were awarded.

Grad School Hub also rewarded schools with rankings from reputable publications and DNP programs that are 100 percent online.

Be a leader in nursing

Take your nursing practice career to the next level. BSN-DNP students prepare for entry-level primary care practice as a family nurse practitioner, and Post-Master's DNP students learn how to improve patient outcomes and reduce health disparities as a leader in health care.

You get support from a faculty mentor who will assist you in developing your quality improvement project and an advisor who is your contact in the program at any point regardless of the course.

Degree options

Our CCNE-accredited program offers two degree options with a combination of online and seated courses taught by our experienced nursing faculty so that you can conveniently complete your coursework. Competitive and selective admission means you will be attending class with other successful nursing professionals.

Turn your ideas into action

With Missouri State’s affordable and flexible DNP, you will not only provide exceptional care, but also become a leader.
