Our Leadership Student Specialist is a unique resume highlight that provides hands-on
marketing experience through the creation and execution of strategic promotional materials
for leadership programs, professional organizations, and campus initiatives. This
position collaborates with the Leadership and Co-Curricular Involvement teams within
the Office of Student Engagement to support high-impact student programs and development
workshops.
Job description
- Manage Centennial Leaders social media accounts, highlighting programs and promoting
events.
- Create promotional materials across digital and print platforms for events such as
Building Leaders for Tomorrow or Centennial Leaders Interview Day.
- Plan key events for the Centennial Leaders program like Behind-The-Scenes Day and
End of Year Ceremony.
- Engage in weekly staff meetings, assisting in the creation of strategic outlines for
departmental growth.
- Ensure scholars in the program are meeting their points requirements to maintain scholarship
status.
- Communicate effectively with leadership staff and any associates involved with organizational
processes.
Requirements
- 10-12 hour a week commitment
- Must be in good academic standing with Missouri State University
- Social Media and Graphic Design Experience
- Experience in Event Planning
- Knowledge of Microsoft Platforms like Excel, Teams, and Word
- Strong desire to bring in new ideas and grow among an expanding organization
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
