Residency Reclassification - Missouri Residency Established

If you have experienced specific circumstances after you started classes, you may already meet the requirements to be considered a Missouri resident. In these cases, you may submit an application and the required documentation so we can review and update your residency for tuition and fee purposes.

Each circumstance listed below outlines the type of documentation required. Select each type of documentation for details on which documents can be used to satisfy that specific documentation requirement.

Summer 2024 residency reclassification application will be available to currently enrolled students on April 15th. Applications submitted prior to that date will not be reviewed.

You are under 21 and your parent/guardian has moved to Missouri, works full time/has professional practice/conducts business full time in Missouri.


You are under 21 and your parent/guardian retired to Missouri.

You are under 21 and currently work full time, filed prior year’s State of Missouri income taxes and cannot be claimed as dependent on parent/guardian taxes.


You are 21 or older and currently work full time/has professional practice/conducts business full time in Missouri.


Your spouse currently works full time/has professional practice/conducts business full time in Missouri.


You marry a Missouri resident, who currently works full time/has professional practice/conducts business full time in Missouri.
