Hope Connection

  • This is an annual direct services event for homeless individuals in Springfield
  • Assist with annual Hope Connection by serving as a guide for homeless individuals to access free services during event
  • Work with MSU programs to determine if additional services from MSU could be provided during the event

HOPE Connection/Veteran Stand Down is a direct service event that connects individuals experiencing homelessness or at-risk of homelessness with a variety of services, including vision care, housing assessments, the Division of Family Services, and Veteran-specific services in a single location on a single day. This is one of CPO’s largest annual events, and brings together nearly 500 volunteers and 200 plus vendors to help those most in need.

Maximum number MSU students needed per event = 6

Event is held on November 20th from 8 a.m.-4 p.m. A full day commitment is essential, and there’s a mandatory training the afternoon before.
