PAS Bridge the Gap Campaign
Bridging the Rural/Underserved Gap
The mission of the Physician Assistant Studies Program includes preparing graduates
to serve in rural and underserved areas. Given the primary care emphasis in PA education,
graduates of the program are primed to help address the health care needs in these
areas. Bridging the Rural/Underserved Gap campaign is meant to support such clinical
training experiences to the extent that graduating program students are then more
likely to consider working in such areas.
Six-week clinical rotation assignments in these areas can create a financial strain on students because they are required to pay for their own housing, when housing assistance is not provided by the program. In these situations, the PA program would like to provide financial assistance to students who are required to pay for their own housing through funds raised by this annual campaign. Your charitable donation is tax deductible.
