Learning outcomes for the Master of Occupational Therapy (MOT) graduate program

• Demonstrate competence as generalists in current and emerging practice areas.
• Provide occupation-based practice interventions that promote independence, participation, health, and wellness among diverse persons, groups, and populations within rural and underserved communities.
• Demonstrate leadership behaviors consistent with the legal and ethical standards, values, and attitudes of the occupational therapy profession.
• Utilize interprofessional knowledge and skills embodying the University’s Public Affairs Mission in community engagement.
• Demonstrate cultural humility to social, geographic, economic, gender, racial and ethnic diversity during personal interactions and in professional practice.
• Implement the holistic occupational therapy process demonstrating use of theory, scientific-inquiry, evidence, clinical reasoning, client-centered and individualized intervention, and effective oral and written communication skills.
