SOFAC Timeline

Mid-April to Late May 2026: Early Re-registration

Student Organizations must re-register their organization through the Annual Registration process in order to receive SOFAC funding. For more information about Annual Registration check out the Office of Student Engagement website. Organizations who register in this period will have access to their funding starting July 1.

July 31 - September 15, 2026: Second Re-Registration Period

Organizations will be able to access their funding once they have completed the registration process.

February 3 - 12, 2026: Budget Proposal Workshops

The Budget proposal workshops are mandatory sessions to be attended by the President and/or treasurer of the organization. This session will review the SOFAC process as well as how to properly complete/submit the SOFAC General Budget Proposal. If you do not attend the meeting you are no eligible to apply for funding. All sessions will be held in the Office of Student Engagement lounge (PSU 127) unless otherwise stated. In the event of office closures, sessions will be cancelled. February 27, 2026: Budget Proposals Due

The General Budget Proposals for Full Year 2026-2027  an be found on the SOFAC website under the Budget Proposal Forms section. Student organizations must submit their completed budget proposal by February 27 at 5pm to be considered for SOFAC funding. LATE SUBMISSIONS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. General Budget Proposals should include any request for funding for dates between July 1, 2026 – June 30, 2027. Budget Proposals submitted before Budget Proposal Workshop meeting attendance will not be accepted. 

 

March 2 - 13, 2026: SOFAC Council Review Meetings

SOFAC Delegates may contact organizations if they have questions or need clarification about a submitted proposal. If the organization is contacted regarding questions or concerns about their budget proposal and we do not hear back from them before March 13, 2025 at 5 PM, SOFAC delegates are within their right to deny funding to the organization.

 

March 30 - 31, 2026: SOFAC Award Letters Posted

SOFAC Award Letters will be posted to the BearLINK pages of receiving organizations under Documents. Only registered officers of your organization can access the award letter by navigating to the Admin Dashboard on BearLINK.

 

April 3, 2026: SOFAC Appeals deadline

Organizations that wish to appeal SOFAC's award decision may do so by signing up for an appeal hearing. Submissions for an appeal will be accepted until April 3, 2026, at 5 pm. Late submissions will not be accepted.

April 6 - 10, 2026: SOFAC Appeal Hearings

Organizations seeking to appeal their SOFAC award will be expected to submit documentation to the SOFAC council defending their case and will have the opportunity to present their case in front of the council.

April 7 - 16, 2026: SOFAC Payment Meetings

As a recipient of SOFAC funds, it is MANDATORY your organization send either the President or Treasurer to attend one of the meetings listed below. During the meeting, representatives will learn how to access the funds allocated to their organization through direct payment and reimbursement requests.

Mid April to Late May 2027: Early Re-Registration reopens

Organizations will be able to complete early re-registration at this time. All organizations must re-register in order to receive any funding applied for. Organizations registered during this time will have access to their funding starting July 1.

June 15, 2027: Final Submission Deadline

All SOFAC requests must be submitted by this date to be considered for approval before the end of the fiscal year. Any requests submitted after this date cannot be properly processed and will be denied.
