The Mary Jean Price Walls Multicultural Resource Center is located on the 1st Floor of the Plaster Student Union!

Our new Center is NOW OPEN, so come visit us in our space in Suite 101!

We Provide:

  • Lounge  space for students to relax, meet, eat, study with access to a Smart TV and free Media Library.
  • Computer Lab with 3 computers and free printing for students.
  • Microwave and Minifridge for students needing a place to eat.
  • Our Transitions Closet & Room of Reflection

The MRC houses the office of the Director of Multicultural Programs, Assistant Director for LGBTQ+ Student Services, Multicultural Programs Specialist, Graduate Assistant of Multicultural Programs, workspaces of student staff!

About Mary Jean Price Walls

The MRC Annex has been named in honor of Ms. Mary Jean Price Walls, who received the first honorary undergraduate degree ever given by Missouri State University. In 1950, she was the school’s first African-American applicant, but was denied admission.
