The Assistant Director of Multicultural Programs for LGBTQ+ Student Services focuses on the development of the LGBTQ+ Safe Zone Training Program, advising LGBTQ+ and Cultural student organizations, and the Heritage Months Series.

Michelle (she/her/hers) serves as a part-time Multicultural Programs Specialist.  Her office hours are Monday-Friday from 8:00am - 12:00pm.

Faith Giedd

Faith (she/her/hers) serves as a part-time Multicultural Programs Specialist.  Her office hours are Tuesday-Thursday from 1:00pm - 5:00pm, Monday and Friday's by appointment only.

Faith has over 25 years of experience in non-profit leadership, administration, grant writing and grant-making.  Faith currently serves as the Executive Director of the Cook Family Foundation (2018-present, Part-time).  Faith holds a Master's Degree in Public Administration from Missouri State University.  She is a sustaining member of the Junior League of Springfield.

Outside of work, Faith loves being with her family and friends.  She has two children and is married to Dr. Ryan Giedd, Emeritus Professor Physics, Astronomy and Materials Science.  He was in the College of Natural and Applied Sciences for over 25 years.  She loves to travel and volunteer in the community.
