Teacher Education Entrance and Exit Exams
Starting July 1, 2024, the Praxis tests have replaced the MoCA requirement. All passing MoGEA and MoCA scores will continue to be accepted for certification.**
An entrance exam is required for all undergraduate teacher certification programs.

All students seeking teacher, student services, or administrative certifications must
earn a passing score on the appropriate content assessment. The Praxis must be attempted
prior to student teaching (some programs require that it be passed prior to student
teaching).
Students can apply for test fee waivers through ETS by visiting the Praxis website.
