Bursar's Office

All credit balances remaining after current or past due balances have been paid will be issued back to students via direct deposit or check once all reviews have been completed by financial aid and financial services. Credits issued for the Spring 2020 semester will not be applied towards future semester charges or balances. This includes charges or balances for the Summer 2020 and Fall 2020 semesters. Issued credits include those for housing, meal plans, study away, or other credits resulting from COVID-19 related cancellations during the Spring 20 semester.


Beginning March 26, 2020, the Bursar’s office employees will be working from home.  Payments can be made online or mailed to the University. If you have additional questions, we can best serve you via email at  or by phone at 417-836-5128. 

The main function of the Bursar's Office is cashiering for Missouri State. We process payments from students, faculty, staff, Missouri State departments and businesses, as well as handling personal checks.

Bursar Payment Center

The Bursar Payment center is available for students, faculty and staff to log in to your My Missouri State to check balance and make payments. The system is designed to delete all data once you log off the computer for security purposes so be sure to log off when you are done using the payment center. The payment center is available for use while Carrington Hall is open for business.

Missouri State's credit card policy

Missouri State University utilizes a third party credit card processing company for payments on University accounts. A Convenience fee of 2.75% is applied to all credit and debit card payments. Visa, American Express, MasterCard and Discover. E-Checks are accepted online with no additional fees.
