Central Receiving does not operate during the winter break (Dec. 20 – Jan. 2). All incoming packages being shipped by FedEx Air, FedEx Ground, UPS, DHL, Office Depot and freight trucks will not be accepted during this time frame. When the University reopens on Thursday Jan. 3, our department will resume accepting deliveries. Packages shipped via the fore mentioned companies, which arrive in Springfield during this time frame, are held in storage by the shipping company. They will deliver all held packages to the University on Thursday Jan. 3 and/or Friday Jan. 4.
On purchase orders issued by Procurement Services prior to break, include a comment on University closures. Therefore, if a vendor is shipping via freight truck, they are notified of our closure period.
