Public Affairs Conference VIP Experience
The Missouri State University Public Affairs Conference has welcomed some of the nation's most influential voices to campus, creating opportunities for learning, dialogue and engagement around issues that matter. Proudly presented annually by the Missouri State Foundation, the keynote event reflects the university's commitment to its public affairs mission and serves as a cornerstone of the conference experience.
Each year, thousands gather to hear from a distinguished keynote speaker whose experiences and insights encourage thoughtful discussion and inspire positive change. The keynote address is free and open to the public, ensuring the community has access to ideas and perspectives that promote cultural competence, ethical leadership and community engagement.
For those seeking a more exclusive experience, the Missouri State Foundation hosts a VIP reception prior to the keynote event. The VIP Experience provides guests with the opportunity to meet the keynote speaker, enjoy cocktails and hors d'oeuvres and take home an autographed copy of the speaker's book. Attendees also receive the opportunity to take a photo with the featured guest, creating a memorable keepsake from the evening.
Over the years, the Public Affairs Conference has welcomed an impressive lineup of keynote speakers, including Brooke Shields, David Feherty, Marlee Matlin, Joe Montana, John Quiñones, Jenna Bush Hager and Jillian Michaels. Their diverse perspectives and accomplishments have sparked important conversations and strengthened the conference's tradition of bringing nationally recognized leaders and storytellers to southwest Missouri.
