Acceptance into a clinical school

This degree requires completion of an accredited associate degree or certificate program in radiologic technology or other diagnostic modality. This requirement cannot be completed at Missouri State and will require you to transfer to an accredited program, like OTC or SBU-Mercy.

It usually takes students two years (four semesters) to complete a program in radiologic technology or other diagnostic modality.

Acceptance into clinical school is not guaranteed and is based on GPA, health care experience and your interview. Some clinical schools have competitive admission, so we recommend you apply to more than one program.

Transfer your completed professional courses back to Missouri State to finish your degree

Once you complete your program in radiologic technology or other diagnostic modality, you will need to send you official transcript to Missouri State.

Once your transcript is received and processed, you will be awarded 42 credit hours of Radiography coursework (21 lower-division credits and 21 upper-division credits) to fulfill your degree requirements.

Tips for success

  • Review your options for general education courses.
