Disability Accommodations

Orientation and Transition Programs (OTP) is committed to providing students and families full access to our programs.
Participation in New Student Orientation activities often includes:
- Listening to and viewing presentations and videos
- Reading written materials and handouts
- Traveling between buildings across campus
- Dining and staying overnight on campus
- Taking placement exams
Let us know how we can help remove any barriers you might face in attending and taking part in New Student Orientation.
Accommodations for a disability
OTP partners with the Disability Resource Center to provide accommodations for New Student Orientation participants with apparent and non-apparent disabilities.
Please request orientation accommodations with OTP with as much advance notice as possible so we can best prepare for your arrival. Requests made within 10 days before your session may not be guaranteed.
Dietary needs
Missouri State Dining Services provides New Student Orientation participants with meals that meet their dietary needs, including allergen-free meals. Contact Dining Services to inform them of your needs and scheduled session date.
Other accommodations
If the above options do not meet your needs, contact us so we can discuss potential alternatives.
