Schedule your audition
Fall 2026 auditions will take place August 12-16 in Hammons Hall for the Performing Arts (HHPA), Room 305. The audition link will be available in the weeks preceding the
auditions.
Audition format and schedule
Chorale, Men's Chorus, Women's Chorus, Choral Union.
- Initial auditions are scheduled for Aug. 12-16, 2026.
- Each singer must sign up for a time to audition in person for Dr. LaBarr and Dr. Plisco.
- There may be up to three people signed up for each 15-minute time slot.
- If you are unavailable during the provided audition times, please contact Dr. Plisco to schedule an alternate audition time.

When to audition
Each choir ensemble has a different audition window. Students wishing to be considered for Chorale must complete an audition before Aug. 16.
Community members wishing to audition for Choral Union may sign up to audition on Wednesday, Aug. 12 or contact Dr. Plisco to set up an alternate audition time.

Initial audition materials
Here's what to expect at your audition. All scores are linked below.
- Prepare 1-2 verses of a simple folk song or hymn to be sung unaccompanied.
- For example: Shenandoah (.pdf), Amazing Grace (.pdf) or My Country, 'Tis of Thee (.pdf).
- Students will be asked to sight-read and vocalize, demonstrating range and vocal color.
Chorale Callbacks
Callback auditions will take place Sunday, Aug. 16, 2026.
- 4-6 p.m. — Callback audition for Chorale.
- 7 p.m. — Rosters posted for Chorale, Women's Chorus, Men's Chorus and Choral Union.
