Prepare for the CFA and CFP exams while you earn your degree

Industry credentials separate good résumés from great ones — and Missouri State's finance program is formally aligned with both of the field's premier designations.

We participate in the CFA Institute University Affiliation Program, which recognizes universities whose degree programs are closely aligned with the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Program curriculum — the gold standard for investment careers. The Corporate and Investments track prepares you to sit for the CFA Level I exam, and affiliation gives our students access to CFA exam scholarships.

Our Financial Planning track is a CFP Board Registered Program, meaning graduates satisfy the education coursework requirement to sit for the Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) exam. You leave with a degree and a direct path to certification.

Faculty who hold these credentials teach the courses, and many students complete exam levels before they graduate — entering the job market a full step ahead.
