FCTL Academic Community
The FCTL Academic Community is the primary method of interaction between the center and MSU faculty members. Located in Brightspace, the Academic Community offers resources and instruction on all things education, including instructional strategies, accessibility assistance, AI, educational technology, course design, and more. The Academic Community is also where the majority of submission windows for FCTL initiatives and programs are located, including grant proposal submissions, Teaching Excellence Award applications, and ACUE Certification applications. The Academic Community is updated regularly with current information, opportunities, and resources, and is the most effective way to stay up-to-date with the FCTL.

Academic Resource Hub

The FCTL Academic Community is also home to the Academic Resource Hub, a module comprised of educational documents that support faculty in their teaching and learning pursuits. Academic Resource Hub documents contain in-depth information about topics that are mentioned in less detail on the website, and provide additional academic resources for those who are interested in researching further. From faculty guides on AI prompting and active learning support to formative assessment strategies and contemporary instructional delivery information, the Resource Hub is here to assist faculty in finding reliable, extensive knowledge on the topics that matter most to their teaching practices.
To access the Academic Resource Hub, navigate to the FCTL Academic Community and click on the "Academic Resource Hub" module. From there, navigate to the topic that you would like to learn more about and download the corresponding Resource Hub document.
