Our photographers illustrate all aspects of campus life. They take portraits of the MSU community and capture images of the important events and people in the history of the university.
These photographs can be used in print, online, as displays and more.

What does it cost to hire a photographer?
We charge fees for our services, including photo coverage, scanning, retouching and creating prints. Charges vary by the type of projects or requests.
How to make your request
We have limited staff and great demand for our services, so advanced planning for photo needs is essential.
You must fill out and submit a Photographer Assignment Request Form for all photography requests. You may review our online calendar to find out if our staff members are available.
Please schedule assignments with at least 10 working days notice. Assignments with less than 10 working days must be granted an exception by the director of creative services.
Assignments with less than five days notice will be considered “rush” assignments. Rush assignments may not be scheduled if they interfere with other scheduled assignments or workloads. Rush assignments also create more expenses, and those expenses are passed on to the project client.
