Dual Enrollment Terms and Conditions
The Missouri State University Dual Enrollment program provides qualified students with an opportunity to earn college credit prior to high school graduation. Credit earned under this program will be applicable toward a degree at Missouri State and is generally transferrable to other accredited colleges and universities. Because each institution establishes its own transfer credit policies, Missouri State cannot guarantee transfer of credit to another institution.
These are regular courses taught by University faculty either on the campus or through designated off-campus locations (e.g., via interactive video or online learning system) and available to all Missouri State students. As such, Dual Enrollment courses are subject to standard tuition and fees as outlined for traditional undergraduate students. To be eligible to take campus based courses, you must have completed your sophomore year of high school and have at least a 3.00 grade point average on a 4.00 scale. An ACT composite score of 21 or higher (or an equivalent score on the PLAN or SAT) is also required.
Students applying for campus based courses must have a designated high school representative provide official transcripts.
- It is important that you understand the effort you will be expected to put forth in college courses, as well as the policies, procedures, and consequences which apply to college enrollment. The credit and grades you earn will become a part of your permanent academic record. If you have questions or concerns, please contact your Precollege Advisor prior to enrolling.
- Students who do not meet the admission criteria described above but who are judged by their high school officials to be academically motivated and to have a strong potential for success in college courses may be considered for admission on an individual basis. Such students must submit a personal letter of appeal and at least one letter of support from a recommending school official in addition to this application. Appeals should be sent to the Academic Advising and Tranfer Center at Advise@MissouriState.edu
- Disclosure of your Social Security Number (SSN) is voluntary. If you provide your SSN, it will not appear on your student identification card.
