November 5, 2009

Registered Sex Offender may have been spotted near MSU campus property

Registered sex offender, Donnie Lynn Lair.

Description: White male; late 40's; height approximately 5 foot 9 inches; approximately 173 pounds; bald.

May have been spotted on or near the MSU campus and Park Central area.  Anyone seeing or having information on this individual is requested to contact the Springfield Police Department Substation (417) 836-5327, MSU Radio Control Center (417) 836-5509, or 911.

REMINDER:

  • 'Safe Walk' walking escorts are available upon request by safety personnel to escort students, faculty, or staff by calling 836-5509.

 

October 2, 2009

Reported Proposition

On October 2, 2009, at approximately 12:15 p.m., a female student was propositioned near the west entrance of the Taylor Health and Wellness Center.

Suspect Description:  White male; mid 40's; height approximately 5'7" - 5'8"; slim build; wearing an orange hat, orange zip-up sweat shirt and khaki cargo pants; having short, light brown hair; and missing a top front tooth.

Anyone seeing or having information on this individual is requested to contact the Springfield Police Department at 911 or MSU Department of Safety and Transportation at 836-5509.
