Biomedical Sciences Scholarships

Contact the department for information on the following scholarships. Scholarship amounts may vary annually. Unless otherwise noted, students must be undergraduates, enrolled full-time (12 hours).

Crystal Evans Pummill Scholarship
Student must be at senior level and have the top GPA in Foods and Nutrition at end of junior year. If more than one student has the same high GPA, the recommendations of the department head will prevail.

Smith-Glynn-Callaway Medical Foundation Scholarship
Student must be a sophomore or junior in the pre-med curriculum with superior grades and activities which demonstrate interest in a medical career.

Springfield Medical Foundation Scholarship
Student must be enrolled half-time as a junior in medical technology or a senior in nursing. Recipient must demonstrate scholarship, leadership and potential for professional advancement.

Jack N. Wiles Memorial Scholarship
Student must plan to pursue the degree of Doctor of Medicine. Recipient must have completed 20 hours of the pre-med core including organic chemistry with a 3.5 cumulative GPA and be involved in a community service or pre-professional organization. Preference is given to a Missouri resident from Douglas, Howell, Oregon, Ozark, Texas or Wright counties.
