Tips for success
- For First Semester GEC 109/109 and Second Semester GEC 106/107: One of the science
choices must include a lab component. The overall total of Life Science and Physical
Sciences courses must be a minimum of 7 credit hours.
- For Fourth Semester CSD 210: This course is available as a block class (first and
second block available).
- Specific elective hours needed may vary depending on choices made in general education
and transfer work.
Major admission requirements
- Attainment of at least a 3.0 GPA on all coursework attempted at Missouri State University.
For students with transfer credit, a combined GPA of at least a 3.0 must be achieved.
- Completion of a minimum of 50 hours of credit, which includes the following
- Chemistry or Physics
- Biology or Biomedical Sciences
- College math (MTH 136 or higher)
- Completion of Human Cultures section of general education requirements.
