Tips for success

  • For First Semester GEC 109/109 and Second Semester GEC 106/107: One of the science choices must include a lab component. The overall total of Life Science and Physical Sciences courses must be a minimum of 7 credit hours.
  • For Fourth Semester CSD 210: This course is available as a block class (first and second block available).
  • Specific elective hours needed may vary depending on choices made in general education and transfer work.

Major admission requirements

  1. Attainment of at least a 3.0 GPA on all coursework attempted at Missouri State University. For students with transfer credit, a combined GPA of at least a 3.0 must be achieved.
  2. Completion of a minimum of 50 hours of credit, which includes the following
    1. Chemistry or Physics
    2. Biology or Biomedical Sciences
    3. College math (MTH 136 or higher)
    4. Completion of Human Cultures section of general education requirements.
