The best way to meet 1,000 of your classmates in one hour. You’ll laugh, meet new friends, and become part of the Mo State community through games and activities in a positive and supportive environment. Following Playfair, we’ll kick off another incredible year with a Class Photo for the Class of 2029, and go into the biggest back-to-school pep rally in the 417: Maroon Madness. You’ll hear from many of our athletic teams as we join Conference USA. 

Saturday, Aug. 16

See You Later Brunch

10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
Blair-Shannon Dining Center

Before saying See Ya Later to your student, join them for a lovely Brunch in one of our two dining halls. The first two family members eat free. Each additional family member is $9.90. Student must have a dining plan. 

Even if you didn’t bring your family, this is a great opportunity to meet other students and enjoy a nice brunch.

Featuring food trucks, games, music, and so much more, Greek Street is a block party style event, open to all MSU students, with a purpose of uniting members and introducing prospective members to the community. Greek Street totaled over 2,000 visitors during its 2024 inaugural debut. 

Bear Bash

7:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.
North Mall and Plaster Student Union

Welcome to the biggest welcome back celebration of the year. Join us for our annual Bear Bash Celebration as we welcome new and returning bears to campus. We will have live music, free food, giveaway, Bear Bash T-shirts, performances, crafts and much much more. You do not want to miss this event.

Belong-B-Que

The Belong-B-Que is Student Support & Opportunity Services' major event during Welcome Weekend. A combination cookout, information fair, and performance. The Belong-B-Que showcases the wide range of student groups and resources here at Missouri State University.
