Position Title: Level 1 Games Center Manager
Department: Plaster Student Union Administration
Supervision: This position reports to the Director of Plaster Student Union.
Position Summary:
The Level 1 Games Center Manager is responsible for scheduling and guiding the work of Level 1 Games Center Attendants. It is important that the manager is familiar with the Level 1 Games Center, its equipment/technology, policies, and services.
General Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Participate in recruitment and selection process for Level 1 Games Center Attendant hires.
- Train staff in the proper operations of the various games and procedures to ensure everyone is able to understand and execute in their role.
- Serve as the subject matter expert to Level 1 Games Center staff.
- Supervise Games Center staff to achieve expected performance and outcomes.
- Schedule staff to work on all shifts.
- Attend OMT staff meetings and training sessions.
- Organize and maintain equipment and technology.
- Maintain games inventory and report missing/damaged items immediately.
- Manage operations of the space including customer service for patrons, equipment management and troubleshooting, cash handling/Point-of-Sale transactions, general cleanliness of space.
- Utilize game management system (ggLeap) for guests to enjoy their gaming experience.
- Check-out and store game consoles in a professional and secure manner.
- Cash handle/charge credit cards via Point-of-Sale transaction system.
- Keep an updated inventory of games and equipment.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications (Requisite Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities):
- The Manager is a student employee and must meet all University requirements to work on campus.
- Minimum GPA: 2.5
- Minimum enrolled credit hours for U.S. & International students.
- Previous customer service experience.
- Knowledge of PC’s and gaming consoles.
- Ability to troubleshoot technological issues.
- Must be available to attend required trainings.
- Ability to follow directions and manage time efficiently.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Flexible hours for availability (including evenings & weekends).
- Ability to work independently.
- Ability to work with people from different backgrounds.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Supervisory experience.
Schedule:
- Average of 15-20 hours/week.

Position Overview:
The Level 1 Games Center Attendant provides guests with a customer-centered experience while managing the daily operations of the Games Center.
General Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Welcome guests to the space and create a customer-centered atmosphere.
- Manage operations of the space including customer service for patrons, equipment management and troubleshooting, cash handling/Point-of-Sale transactions, general cleanliness of space.
- Utilize game management system (ggLeap) for guests to enjoy their gaming experience.
- Check-out and store game consoles in a professional and secure manner.
- Cash handle/charge credit cards via Point-of-Sale transaction system.
- Keep an updated inventory of games and equipment.
- Other duties as assigned.
