Position Title: House Crew Manager
Department: Facilities and Operations
Supervision: This position reports to the Assistant Director of PSU over Facilities & Operations.
Position Summary:
The Plaster Student Union House Crew Manager is responsible for scheduling and facilitating the House Crew team in setting up room arrangements. It is important that the House Crew Manager is familiar with the building, its equipment, policies, programs, services and the day-to-day schedule of events.
General Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Participate in recruitment and selection process for House Crew staff hires.
- Train staff in the proper operations of the various set-ups to ensure everyone is able to understand and execute in their role.
- Serve as the subject matter expert to House Crew staff.
- Supervise House Crew staff to achieve expected performance and outcomes.
- Read and interpret room diagrams to ensure proper set-up for events.
- Schedule staff to set up and work on all events.
- Set-up and troubleshoot basic audio-visual equipment including video projectors and computers.
- Attend OMT staff meetings and training sessions.
- Inspect set-ups to ensure accuracy and address any issues found with staff.
- Organize and maintain equipment and storage rooms.
- Maintain table/chair inventory and report missing/damaged items immediately.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications (Requisite Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities):
- The House Crew Manager is a student employee and must meet all University requirements to work on campus.
- Minimum GPA: 2.5
- Minimum enrolled credit hours for U.S. & International students.
- Ability to lift/stack tables and chairs.
- Ability to follow directions and manage time efficiently.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Flexible hours for availability (including evenings & weekends).
- Positive customer-oriented attitude and professional image.
- Openness to working in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment.
- Ability to work independently and as a team.
- Ability to work with people from different backgrounds.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Supervisory experience.
Schedule:
- Average of 15-20 hours/week.
- Schedule varies based on events and meetings.

Schedule:
- Average of 8-15 hours/week.
- Schedule varies based on events and meetings.
General Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret room diagrams to ensure proper set-up for events.
- Set-up and troubleshoot basic audio-visual equipment including computer projector carts, laptops, and cables.
- Respond to requests from building managers and event coordinators.
- General cleaning of public areas and meeting rooms within Student Union including trash removal, vacuuming, wiping tables and dust mopping.
- Assist managers in responding to emergency situations.
- Inspect rooms for damage and cleanliness, and communicate issues that need addressed.
- Attend staff meetings and training sessions as assigned.
- Other duties as assigned.
