Major, Minor and Certificate Codes

The purpose of these lists is to specifically support users responsible for adding/changing/deleting students’ programs in Admin Banner. These lists should not be used for any other purpose, including as an official list of current, active programs at Missouri State University.

Step-by-step user guide

Undergraduate programs that have admission requirements are identified by (PRE) following the title. Example: ACCT-BS-PRE. Students must be under the pre-code until admitted to the major. Pre-admit program codes can be filtered using the Pre-Admit Code column.

When assigning an undergraduate minor in Admin Banner, the correct minor code will correspond to the undergraduate degree the student is seeking. Minor codes must also be assigned to the correct department code in Admin Banner. Example: A student seeking a BS degree in Geospatial Sciences is adding a minor in Classics-Latin Concentration. The correct minor code is CLL2 with a department of FL (Languages, Cultures and Religions).
