Students should not request placement locations where a close relative works or attends.
Most secondary/K-12 programs do not allow students to return to the same high school
they attended for their student teaching experience.
All students must have at least one diverse placement in their field experiences program.
Cooperating teachers
Cooperating teachers are chosen by the building administrator; they are considered
master teachers.
Cooperating teachers should hold a masters degree or equivalent.
Cooperating teachers have a minimum of three years teaching experience. In rare circumstances,
exceptions can be made with recommendation of the building principal and agreement
of the program coordinator.

by the University.
The Student Teaching Handbook contains forms for the student, cooperating teacher,

Student teaching meetings
Some programs may schedule meetings throughout the semester. Students will be informed
